House Rules

Quiet hours begin at 9PM, no exceptions. Our home is located in a residential neighborhood, so please be respectful by keeping noise to a reasonable level - not just during quiet hours but at all times. NoiseAware party detection and security cameras are for ensuring this rule is followed. Any disturbances to our neighbors may result in immediate check-out without refund. Manager/owner being called out for a rules violation is a $250 fee Pet Fee = $75/pet. Dogs are welcome and cats are not allowed. I ask that they are well behaved (no chewing furniture/scratching, no consistent barking, they are house trained and you pick up all of their waste outside). Any dog waste found after a guest will be a $50 clean up fee. Early Check-in (if possible) = $25 Check-out is 10:00 AM unless otherwise noted. Check-out late fees are as follows: 30 minutes late = $50 2 hours late check out = daily base rate + any fees associated with disturbance of next guests' stay. Tampering with any of the technology in the home will result in immediate check-out without refund. Renters must be 25 or older. Strictly no smoking in the home. Evidence of smoking in the house is a $500 fee. Smoke detection sensors are in place. No unregistered guests. Guest count in reservation must match guests in the property. This is checked for all guests and the fee is $100/night per guest. If you leave something, there is a $25 shipping fee plus shipping.

Our home is in the commercial district of the city. We are close to restaurants, shops and other establishments. City noise should be expected.

Guest Access

Our rental unit is completely private for you. The only common space is the hallway from the main entrance to the apartment doors.

Had a wonderful stay with my family. The home was extremely clean and comfortable. Darryl was very responsive and helpful. We had a couple questions about parking and check in since there was snow, and he got back to me right away. Location is perfect, walkable to all the restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay again.

The location of this spot is top tier. There is Richarson’s market one block away for light groceries, you can easily walk over and they are open late. There are multiple restaurants within walking distance, Hot Pot, seafood, and of course things like the Friendly Toast, and the GOAT- both of which are clutch for brunch. Not only can you walk to all the food and bars, you can easily get a ton of shopping in and it’s close enough that you can drop bags and go back out! There’s a coffee shop literally steps from the front door. If you’re new to Portsmouth you can use Spot Hero to find and schedule a parking space (no kickback to me, just something I recommend) and you can park your car during your trip with no worries about moving or getting a ticket. We loved hearing the nightlife and people walking by, I imagine in the summer people watching is great. Overall great place!

We are a group of 4 women who visit a different NE spot each year for a Xmas get together. We have been doing this for 10 years and last night over dinner agreed that this is the best home we have stayed in. Portsmouth itself was picture-perfect with a light snowfall, beautifully decorated for the holiday season and an abundance of wonderful restaurants and small stores, all welcoming. Darryl's home was within walking distance to absolutely everything. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms clean, and the kitchen had every utensil we could have asked for. Darryl was very responsive when/if we had a question, and answered within a few minutes. We had wonderful lattes/coffees and baked goods at Fezziwigs (delicious crepes), Kaffee Vonsolin, Elephantine Bakery, & Popovers. We had fun cocktails at The Press Room and TJs Food and Spirits (lobster wontons are yummy!). Dinner at Cure was fabulous! Don't miss it. All in all, this trip was a huge success, largely due to this home.

Darryl’s place was absolutely beautiful. We loved the location and were able to walk to many restaurants and shops. Would love to return in warmer weather to enjoy the outside decks. Portsmouth is an adorable quaint little town. Wish we could have stayed longer.
