House Rules

Pet Fee = $75/pet. Dogs are welcome and cats are not allowed. I ask that they are well behaved (no chewing furniture/scratching, no consistent barking, they are house trained and you pick up all of their waste outside). Any dog waste found after a guest will be a $50 clean up fee. Early Check-in (if possible) = $25 Check-out is 10:00 AM unless otherwise noted. Check-out late fees are as follows: 30 minutes late = $50 2 hours late check out = daily base rate + any fees associated with disturbance of next guests' stay. Tampering with any of the technology in the home will result in immediate check-out without refund. Renters must be 25 or older. No smoking in the home or on the porch. Evidence of smoking in the house is a $500 fee. No unregistered guests. Guest count in reservation must match guests in the property. This is checked for all guests and the fee is $100/night per guest. If you leave something, there is a $25 shipping fee plus shipping.

Perfect place for our family, and exactly as described. The location couldn’t be better- we were able to walk to Essex Street and everywhere we wanted to go. Darryl is a great host, communicated proactively and answered any questions we had very quickly. We highly recommend staying at his place!

We really enjoyed this home! It was spacious and had everything we needed, including dedicated off street parking which was a nice bonus. The area was very walkable and easy to get to downtown Salem, but it was still quiet and peaceful. We highly recommend this place if you’re staying in Salem!

Home was warm and inviting. The entry and exterior noises scared our dogs but we live in a single family home back from the road, so they’re not used to this. The location was perfect for walking, close to some local attractions and downtown. I would stay here again and recommend others do so as well.

This was our first time visiting Salem and Darryl’s home truly made our trip special. It is located less than a 10-min walk from downtown where all the shops and restaurants are. The home itself was super cozy and perfect for our group of three. Super comfy beds, great water pressure in the bathroom, and comes with a dedicated parking spot. We would absolutely stay here again, should we visit come back to Salem! Darryl was super responsive to all our questions, gave us clear instructions, and even gave some recommendations. If you’re planning a trip to Salem, stay at Darryl’s!

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Salem. The whole stay was great. The place was well decorated, clean and comfortable. It was in walking distance to everything we wanted to do. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. It was a great place to stay.
