House Rules

Quiet hours begin at 9PM, no exceptions. Our home is located in a residential neighborhood, so please be respectful by keeping noise to a reasonable level - not just during quiet hours but at all times. NoiseAware party detection and security cameras are for ensuring this rule is followed. Any disturbances to our neighbors may result in immediate check-out without refund. Manager/owner being called out for a rules violation is a $250 fee Pet Fee = $75/pet. Dogs are welcome and cats are not allowed. I ask that they are well behaved (no chewing furniture/scratching, no consistent barking, they are house trained and you pick up all of their waste outside). Any dog waste found after a guest will be a $50 clean up fee. Early Check-in (if possible) = $25 Check-out is 10:00 AM unless otherwise noted. Check-out late fees are as follows: 30 minutes late = $50 2 hours late check out = daily base rate + any fees associated with disturbance of next guests' stay. Tampering with any of the technology in the home will result in immediate check-out without refund. Renters must be 25 or older. Strictly no smoking in the home. Evidence of smoking in the house is a $500 fee. Smoke detection sensors are in place. No unregistered guests. Guest count in reservation must match guests in the property. This is checked for all guests and the fee is $100/night per guest. If you leave something, there is a $25 shipping fee plus shipping. Our home is located in the commercial district and near restaurants, shops and venues in downtown Portsmouth. Unit is at the ground floor. City noise should be expected.

Amazing stay! So close to everything you would want to do in Portsmouth! Place was phenomenal and so clean. I loved that my little buddy black lab was welcome. We had a great time and would highly recommend for a romantic weekend! The pristine kitchen and coffee bar was a nice touch!

Darryl was a great host and the location was perfect! There were plenty of restaurant and entertainment options available within walking distance. I highly recommend staying here if you're a foodie, or just want a peaceful weekend getaway!

Darryl’s Place was a perfect bungalow, close to the harbor, restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and the coffee shops. Everywhere walkable. It was extremely clean and I will certainly be back. Thank you for being an amazing host!

Our stay at Darryl’s was perfect for what we needed. It was exactly as described, easy to find and check in to, and perfectly located. As other reviewers have mentioned, the noise from the street is definitely noticeable but did calm down by 10:00 during the weeknight we stayed. We were traveling with our dog and Darryl did request additional payment for the dog outside of the airbnb platform which we did not realize in advance. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

Absolutely loved this space! We were right next to some fun bars and everything was walking distance. Darryl gave us some great recommendations and we had a perfect long weekend.
