Other Details to Note

Our home is named C&B Chalet after our two boys. In recognition of the region, the names Bryant Pond and Lake Christopher come from the brothers Christopher and Solomon Bryant, who originally settled in the area. The first child born in the settlement was named Christopher Bryant Jr. C&B Chalet has meaning in 2023 just as much as it did in 1808 when settled. We are proud to share this home and region with you.

House Rules

Quiet hours begin at 9PM. Our home is located in a residential neighborhood so please be respectful by keeping noise to a reasonable level, not just during quiet hours but at all times. If you are on the deck after 8pm please keep your voices down and music low. NoiseAware party detection and security cameras are for ensuring this rule is followed. Any disturbances to our neighbors may result in immediate check-out without refund. Parking on street is not allowed during snow storms. Please move cars when plow arrives to ensure better snow removal. Manager/owner being called out for a rules violation is a $250 fee. Pet Fee = $100 (Dogs are welcome and cats are not allowed) Early Check-in/Late Check-out (if possible) = $25 Check-out is 10:00 AM unless otherwise noted. Check-out late fees if the rule is not followed are as follows: 30 minutes late = $50 30 minutes to 2 hours late check out = daily base rate + any fees associated with disturbance of next guests' stay. Tampering with any of the technology in the home will result in an immediate cancellation without refund. Renters must be 25 or older. No smoking in the home. Evidence of smoking is up to a $500 fee. This includes tobacco and marijuana smoke. No more than 5 cars may be parked at our home. No unregistered guests without prior approval. Guest count in reservation must match guests in the property. If you wish to have visitors or wish to add additional guests to your group, please let us know. Propane grill is available but guests may need to exchange the propane tank if propane gas runs out as propane is not a listed amenity. Guests use bunk beds at their own risk and assume all risk associated with bunk beds. If you leave something, there is a $25 shipping fee plus cost of the shipping.

My friends and I loved everything about Darryl’s place - all the rooms are extremely clean, comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is well appointed and a great gathering spot. The views from the deck are magnificent of the pond and mountains as well as the Milky Way! There are several great hiking trails nearby (we highly recommend Table Rock Loop Trail at Grafton Notch!) and even though the town of Bethel is tiny, there are several great restaurants including The Watershed, Mountain Social and Gemini Bakery. Darryl’s communication is top notch. We highly recommend staying here.

Stayed here with my family (5 people altogether) More than enough room. Lots of kitchenware which makes cooking a breeze. Can get warm inside, but downstairs was always nice and cool. Amazing view from the porch. Lots to do. Awesome movie theater! I would definitely return in the winter months.

My family and I loved the house! It looks exactly like the pictures shown. Darryl is very attentive and responsive — he made clear instructions of everything needed in the house and even made recommendations of where to go and eat nearby. Also, the lake nearby is beautiful and made our stay even better. We’re already planning to come back soon.

A beautiful house with an amazing view. So quiet, private, and peaceful. So many incredible things to offer; a gorgeous view, a hot tub, movie theater and so much more. Can’t wait to go back again with family and friends. Host was so friendly and welcoming.

Darryl was the best host! Very responsive and helpful. The house is beautiful! Plus there is so much to do there. The view is amazing. We loved the porch! It had chairs for relaxing, a dining table and a nice grill. Perfect outdoor space. My kids loved the downstairs area. Games, tvs, and a movie room. It was great! The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you need. The master bedroom had plush bedding with a comfortable king size bed. We truly appreciate all of the little extras in the house to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. It was perfect! We highly recommend this host and this home!

Our cabin is located on a private street overlooking Lake Christopher. There is enough parking for 4 cars without any issues. Sunday River is an 18 minute drive away, Oxford Casino is a 30 minute drive and downtown Bethel is a 10 minute drive.
